Former president of a five-hospital central California regional health system and former CDO and Senior VP for business development of Florida Hospital, where he spearheaded the Florida Hospital Foundation’s $100 million Centennial Campaign, reaching goal 15 months early. Has served as a principal in the KPMG National Health Care Strategy Practice, serving clients in over 40 U.S. healthcare markets and as senior vice president, corporate development, of Lakeland Regional Health System in Southwest Michigan.

Steven Reed

Major Gifts & Board Developement

Strategist with 30-plus years’ healthcare and fundraising experience who became a student of performance improvement and moved from business development and service line redesign to applying lean six sigma principles to healthcare philanthropy. Primary role is structuring performance improvement initiatives, orienting boards and leadership teams to the process, delivering staff training, overseeing change management, coaching and providing strategic counsel.

Richard Lukey

Research & Donor Management

Market research professional with both commercial product and healthcare experience. Supports donor-centric case development, donor satisfaction measurement and health care delivery innovation. Also supports hoshin kanri-based strategic planning and X-matrix development. Thirty year’s experience in design and implementation of survey research , laddering, social network analysis, and both online and physical-presence focus group research projects.

Ted Hartzell

Communications and Case Development

Former American Bar Association communications staffer with nearly four decades in journalism in roles ranging from wire service reporter to newspaper reporter and metro editor. Primary role now as a communications professional and writer is researching the detail necessary for compelling cases for support and crafting messages and materials that resonate with prospective
major donors.
